Founded in New York on March 1, 1932, in the midst of the Great Depression, REVLON emerged from the creative power of two brothers, Charles Revson and Joseph Revson, and Charles Lachman, a chemist who contributed his knowledge and an "L" to "Revlon". Combining their expertise, they started the business with a unique product, a new type of highly innovative nail polish. They used pigments instead of dyes, Revlon introduced different shades of nail polish, and by 1937, they were being sold in department stores and drugstores. In just six years, it became a multi-billion dollar company. By 1940, it already offered a complete manicure line, and later, lipsticks were added to the collection. Today, it boasts a wide range of products such as makeup, accessories, hair care, etc.
