It is a source of gamma-linolenic acid and is derived from the pink primrose, a plant that grows in North America and produces deep yellow flowers that open at sunset.
The beneficial effect of evening primrose oil is generally associated with the polyunsaturated omega-6 gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) that this oil contains and which participates in several functions.
The oil used in this product comes from the pressed seeds of pink evening primrose which is a rich source of omega 6, a polyunsaturated fatty acid.
Solgar Primrose Oil 1300 mg is a natural source of the essential omega-6 fatty acid and comes in an easy-to-take softgel. Softgels are gluten, wheat and dairy free.
