Guerlain Vetiver is an "Eau de Toilette" for men, with woody and aromatic notes. We are witnessing the first men's fragrance from Maison Guerlain, created by its founder, and aims to evoke the middle of an early morning in the countryside to fully appreciate its damp aromas and earthy scent.
This fragrance was created in 1959 by Jean-Paul Guerlain, who tried to convey the dualism of nature: cold and heat, balance and perplexity. This essence is dedicated to a man who loves the countryside, the smell of wet earth or wet leaves or the cold morning breeze. Unique sensations that only this profile can appreciate.
Its olfactory pyramid begins with fresh citrus notes such as bergamot, lemon, orange and grapefruit, giving us a impression very similar to the classic cologne of the time impression, but this perfume quickly disappears to make way for its more virile and intense notes: Tobacco leaves, pepper and nutmeg, spicy nuances that in the 50s and 60s were totally linked to masculinity. To complete its scent, Guerlain includes sandalwood, patchouli and tonka bean, providing a slightly woodier tone.
